Homesick Festival presents a series of performances that take place in private homes. Conceived and organized by Vienna-based artist Michikazu Matsune, each edition is joined by several artists from the fields of performance, dance and visual arts. Upon booking, a pair of artists visit your home to perform in person - exploring the environment of private homes as a stage for unique encounters and shared experiences.
Inspired by our background, history, everyday life, wishes or dreams, performances vary from dancing in the livingroom to protesting in the kitchen to philosophying in the bedroom among others. Homesick Festival offers opportunities to (re)connect with our own experience of home, our current location, life situation and the state of being.
